natürlich
 The word “natürlich” carries meanings such as “natural” and “essential.” Nature itself can be understood as “that which exists as it is.” The artist’s interest in nature stems from a desire to explore what is most fundamental and inherent. Through experimentation with nature, one eventually arrives at the essence.

In the “natürlich” project, fallen leaves serve as the primary material. Much like brewing tea, the leaves were boiled to extract their natural pigments. There are differences in color between each leaf — yet they remain similar.

Using these colors drawn from nature, the artist presents a performance of the most fundamental act in painting: drawing a line.


natürlich 라는 단어는 자연스러운, 본질적인 이라는 의미를 가지고, '자연'은 스스로 그러함 이라는 독일어 단어이다. 작가가 자연에 관심을 갖는 이유는 가장 본질적이고 자연스러운 것에 관심이 있기 때문이다. 자연을 통해 실험을 하다보면 결국 가장 본질을 발견한다.
natürlich 프로젝트에서는 낙엽을 주요 재료로 삼고, 찻잎을 우려내듯 낙엽을 끓여 색을 추출했다. 각 나뭇잎 사이에는 색의 차이가 있다.
이렇게 얻어낸 자연의 색으로 회화의 가장 기본적인 선긋기 (획) 퍼포먼스를 선보인다.
